Paw Print Games is proud to release three new titles for the PlayBook. KAMI RETRO, Battle Bugs and KamiCrazy (the KAMI RETRO prequel) are now available via App World.
KAMI RETRO, a gesture driven platforming puzzle game, heads a collection of three titles now available for the BlackBerry PlayBook. Originally released for the iPhone,
KAMI RETRO received numerous accolades including the Apple App Store Game of the Week, features in Stylish Games, Greatest Platformers and Benchmark Games and was recently added to the App Store Hall of Fame.
“
KAMI RETRO is an 8-bit inspired retro fusion that draws influences from games such as Lemmings and Bills Tomato Game. We aimed to create an intuitive and fun gesture driven game that brought together numerous classic gaming elements to the touch screen hardware” said Antony White, Director of Paw Print Games.
Battle Bugs is a Worms style game were you take control of a team of ants and battle friends or AI across a variety of locations.

There’s also a selection of special weapons such as Snowball, Atomic Carrot and Inflatable Aardvark. You may want to avoid incoming attacks or gain a better vantage point and to do this you can walk the ants left or right, flick them to jump, use a jetpack, teleport or simply dig yourself a hole with a mole and cower.
Features Include:
* Tactical Battles
* Up To 3 Opponents
* Single Play
* Campaigns
* Customise your Team
* 20+ Weapons
* 8+ Locations
* AI/Human Players
“We initially released
Battle Bugs as an iOS title in early 2009”, explains Steven Craft, Director of Paw Print Games, “Back then it was called Soldier Ants and achieved decent chart positions in the App Store. Bringing these titles over to the PlayBook was an easy decision, the native SDK for the PlayBook is solid and the device itself is well suited for our titles with its sharp, responsive screen and underlining power that allow our games to run smoothly. Also, let us not forget the multi-touch support that is utilised in Battle Bugs to zoom in and out”.
KamiCrazy is a prequel to the critically acclaimed
KAMI RETRO that requires you to save as many of your stranded soldiers as you can through a selection of 40 levels spread across three locations (snow, jungle and volcano).
KamiCrazy achieved a Christmas number two on iOS and has subsequently been released on Android.
You’re tasked with guiding the
KamiCrazy soldiers by flicking them to safety while avoiding numerous hazards and traps. Throughout the jungle the locals have left objects that can be used to help you on your way such as springs, ropes and fans. Try to save them all, but don't worry too much... sometimes you'll have to make some sacrifices!
With the obligatory medal system showing progress
KamiCrazy defines byte-sized entertainment.
All three games are now available for the PlayBook on BlackBerry App World
